Rugby League - London lose two key players

Captain Tony Clubb and half-back Michael Witt have been ruled out by coach Tony Rea, with the former struggling with a knee problem and the latter nursing a calf complaint.

“They’ve been in a hyperbaric chamber,” said Rea. “They’ve done everything possible to try and get to the game but haven’t been able to get fit.

“They’ve done everything scientifically and we’ve thrown the kitchen sink at trying to get them ready but it hasn’t happened.”

Star Australian Jamie Soward is back, though, as he looks to guide his side to Wembley glory before heading home at the end of a short-term deal.

Wigan have fewer concerns, with Sam Tomkins, Harrison Hansen and Sean O’Loughlin – all of whom missed the Monday loss at St Helens – back in action.

However, there is no room for Anthony Gelling who has a foot injury.
