The Biggest Hits in World Rugby This Week: Brian O"Driscoll"s England Bash

The rugby calendar was at its fullest this weekend, with a flurry of Six Nations action headlining a card that also contained Super Rugby, Top 14, Aviva Premiership, Pro12 action and more.

And with such a fine selection of oval-shaped quality on display, the collisions were thunderous, tackles titanic and mauls of a monstrous magnitude.

Rugby legends of Northern and Southern Hemispheres found themselves on opposing ends of big hits this week as New Zealand’s Richie McCaw and Ireland’s Brian O’Driscoll found themselves rocked and rocking, respectively.

Elsewhere, Montpellier-based Rene Ranger caused a stir in the Top 14 and Saracens’ Schalk Brits felt the referee’s fury in all too physical a manner.

All that and more comprise the biggest hits in world rugby this week, so sit back, try to relax and let the bad times roll.
