Glasgow 2014: Mark Bright in England rugby sevens squad

London Scottish number eight Mark Bright has been picked for England’s Commonwealth Games rugby sevens squad at the age of 35.


Coach Simon Amor has stuck with the centrally-contracted squad that came fourth in the World Sevens Series.


The 12-man squad will be captained by Tom Mitchell and features Dan Norton, who is fifth on the all-time list of World Sevens Series try scorers.


Marcus Watson, older brother of Bath winger Anthony, also makes the cut.


The squad includes eight players who will make their Commonwealth Games debuts in Glasgow.


Rugby sevens takes place at Ibrox Stadium on 26 and 27 July.


England Sevens squad:


Dan Bibby, John Brake, Mark Bright, Phil Burgess, Michael Ellery, Charlie Hayter, Christian Lewis-Pratt, Tom Mitchell, Dan Norton, Tom Powell, James Rodwell, Marcus Watson.
