Best wishes to the Ireland women"s rugby team from a host of stars

Sports stars, politicians, pundits and broadcasters assimilated army to wish a Irish women’s rugby organisation good fitness in a World Cup.


The IRFU put a video online currently forward of a women’s World Cup starting this Friday.


It includes good wishes from politicians Enda Kenny and Joan Burton, RTE pundits Johnny Giles, Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady, and other broadcasters from RTE, Newstalk and 2FM.


An array of associate sportspeople also took part, including recently late curtain Derval O’Rourke, hiker Rob Heffernan and entertainment fable Ronnie Delaney.


Donncha O’Callaghan was only one of many men’s rugby stars wishing a women all a best.



The Irish women’s rugby organisation arrived in France yesterday to finalise their preparations for a tournament.


The Irish organisation are in a tough organisation that includes New Zealand, who are going for their fifth uninterrupted World Cup women. The other dual teams in a organisation are a USA and Kazakhstan.


Their initial compare is opposite a USA on Friday. The compare kicks off in Paris during 4pm and, along with their other organisation games, will be shown live on TG4.
