NOTTINGHAM Rugby will kick-off their pre-season campaign against Leicester Tigers at Lady Bay on Saturday, August 16 (3pm).
The Green and Whites will then face Loughborough Students on August 23 and Coventry on August 30 away ahead of the start of the new Championship season.
“We’ve had a very good pre-season so far and the lads are raring to go,” said head coach Martin Haag (pictured).
“The bulk of our squad is the same as last year, we’ve added some strength in key positions and I’m pleased with how things are at the moment.
“We’ve got three tough pre-season matches coming up and it doesn’t get any harder than facing the Tigers in the first of them.
“Their squad is littered with international talent and they are going to be a real test for our lads and that’s what we want.
“We have a great group here at Nottingham and they’ve been working really hard over the last seven weeks.
“They are now chomping at the bit to get out and play and what better way to start than facing Leicester.”
On deciding to take the match to the club’s training base, operations director, Chris Simon said: “Meadow Lane is a great facility for professional rugby, but unfortunately, the ground was unavailable for this particular weekend during pre-season.
“We had the opportunity for a match against Leicester and were extremely keen not to let this one go by.
“We looked at a couple of venues, but decided that playing at Lady Bay was the best all round.
“We’ve hosted matches here before.
“It’s a great community facility and enables us to create a really traditional rugby experience.
“Fans can get right up close to the action.”

Advance tickets for the Tigers match are priced at £12 adults and £6 for children, with discounts for Nottingham Rugby season ticket holders.
Fans are encouraged to buy in advance as Lady Bay has a limited ground capacity.
