A ProâsLife Rugby Academy will be held at Scremerston on August 4, 5 and 6 and is open to participants between the ages of 8-16 years old.
After a very successful first year organisers have decided to return to Berwick Rugby Club.
One of the organisers, James King, who is a former Berwick player, said: âThe turn-out we had last year was fantastic and we had a great bunch of boys along.
âLast year we had a number of Scotland Internationals coaching and we plan the same again this year. Former Edinburgh and Scotland 7s star Andrew Easson will be leading the camp with a host of other top professionals attending specialist sessions.â
ProâsLife Rugby Academy was set up in May 2013. The aim of the camp is to give kids a rugby experience like no other, giving participants close access to top professionals and coaches whilst focusing on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and diet. The coaches have experienced professional rugby at the highest domestic and international level giving them vast experience and knowledge in the game.
âWe have carefully constructed a training programme that will not only focus on rugby specific skills, but will give children an insight into the ways the proâs recover after training and games,â said James.
âWith nutrition being a huge part of rugby, we have teamed up with leading nutrition brands to give kids an idea and taste of what the professionals eat and the kind of things they should be eating themselves.
âWhilst the programme will be challenging, ProâsLife will have a big focus on making this experience as enjoyable as possible. There will be ongoing competitions and prizes available throughout the various camps, as well as quizzes and team games.â
