Tickets now available for Rugby World Cup games to be played at Kingsholm ...

TICKETS are now on sale for Rugby World Cup matches to be hosted by Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium.


With only 450 days to go until the start of the tournament, the first ticket and travel packages to be made available are hoped will result in a boost in visitor numbers to the city.


Tonga v Georgia, USA v Japan, Argentina v Georgia and Scotland v Japan will all be staged in Gloucester next autumn.


A spokesperson for England Rugby Travel, which has announced the packages, said: “One of the great rugby grounds in the world, Kingsholm is revered for its atmosphere.


“This is what the World Cup is all about; bringing the game to the rugby public of the country.”


Rugby fans across the country can now buy tickets for all 48 fixtures next year.


Prices for a match ticket and day return travel start at £159pp for the Scotland v Japan game, while a one night package including accommodation at Holiday Inn Express, Cheltenham, based on two people sharing, starts from £199pp.

Rugby World Cup 2015 is due to kick off on September 18, with England’s match against the Oceania 1 qualifier at Twickenham Stadium. There are 20 teams participating in the Tournament; the first pool matches will be played between September 18 and October 11, in 13 locations. The quarter-finals will be played on October 17 and 18 at both the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and Twickenham Stadium. The semi-finals will be played on October 24 and 25 at Twickenham Stadium, the Bronze Final will be played on October 30 at the Olympic Stadium and the Final will be played on October 31, at Twickenham Stadium.

Pool A: Australia; England; Wales; Oceania 1, Play Off Winner


Pool B: South Africa, Samoa, Scotland, Japan, USA


Pool C: New Zealand, Argentina, Tonga, Georgia, Africa 1
