Nick Walshe"s England U20s side send out warning ahead of Junior World ...

“It will not be long before these boys are pushing for Premiership places and

then England

Saxons,” said Walshe, whose team play with great gusto.

“The way we play is similar to New Zealand teams, I guess, but we have not set

out to copy anyone, but just do what suits us best. We do not throw it about

willy-nilly but we do aim to play with high tempo.

“We’re not going to sit back against South Africa. That we’ve been able to

play like this in New

Zealand
, and make an impression, has added spice to it all.

“Just like the senior side we wanted to give a really good account of

ourselves on and off the field. We want out boys to have come through the

programme as better people as much as better rugby players. I think we have

done that.

“For me, when you see what the Under-20s have done here, what the midweek side

did to the Crusaders on Tuesday night, how Stuart Lancaster’s side have run

the All Blacks close, I think English rugby is in a really good place.”
