Scotsman Rugby show: Scotland v South Africa

JAPAN’S assistant coach Scott Wisemantel believes that Scotland have the strength in their armoury to beat South Africa and Australia and claim an historic autumn clean sweep.

He is more optimistic than Scotland supporters who appear in this week’s Scotsman Rugby Show, in association with Ginger Grouse, alongside Wisemantel, Scotland’s interim head coach Scott Johnson and last week’s skipper Kelly Brown discussing the opening match and looking forward to Sunday’s clash with the Springboks.

The supporters gave their views in the popular Ginger Grouse marquee at Murrayfield and few enjoying the rock band seemed to think that Scotland could beat either the Boks or Wallabies.

However, in a packed show we also catch up with the South Africa camp as they train at a windswept Lasswade. John McFarland, their Belfast-born England-bred defence coach talks about the influence of the Boks’ new Scottish consultant, Richie Gray, and we are allowed inside training to see exactly what Gray is doing to improve South African’s breakdown skills.

The Scotsman Rugby Show also features both team line-ups for this weekend and a round-up of some of the best club tries sent in to us over the past fortnight. If you have any clips of tries to share with our 2.4 million monthly users of Scotsman.com, then get in touch with us at: david.ferguson@jpress.co.uk
