Jones is among only two survivors from the Welsh side which claimed a 21-18 victory over the Wallabies back in 2008.
Since then Australia have won eight in a row against Wales – four by three points or less.
“We realise we have been there or thereabouts, but we’ve beaten them before and we are perfectly capable of doing it,” he said.
