As ever, Lancaster will try to deceive the opposition by leaving his team confirmation until tomorrow.
He said: “We have named an extended squad as we need a further 24 hours to assess one or two minor niggles.
“But Mako is unfortunately struggling with a ligament strain to his knee and is not available for selection this week.”
New Pumas coach Daniel Horcade has no qualms about revealing his selection.
His injury-hit XV named last night will be led by ex-London Irish No.8 Juan Leguizamon.
It includes six players based in England, seven in France and just two in Argentina.
