Cranleigh pupils meet England rugby stars

It’s not every day your school team gets put through their paces by one of the best coaches in world rugby.

But that’s just what happened to 15 lucky boys from Cranleigh Prep School, who were given their own training session by none other then England head coach Stuart Lancaster.

And fresh from their brilliant win over Australia only the day before, the excited pupils also got up close and personal with all the members of the England squad, including stars like Owen Farrell, Toby Flood and Chris Ashton.

The young Cranleigh pupils were at Penny Hill Park to watch the England team train on Monday November 4 and then had their own coaching session which was headed up by Lancaster.

The boys were given an intensive hour and a half of ball skills, line running and touch rugby before the day was rounded off by a motivational team talk from Lancaster.
