LONGTON can breathe easy now after securing their place in National League Three Midlands for another season.
Last week’s bonus point in their defeat at Nuneaton was enough to preserve their status and make sure that there will be no relegation nerves floating around at Trentham Fields.
Longton wind up their home campaign this weekend with a home date against Old Halesonians, before heading to Sandbach next week.
But there’s still plenty of work for SANDBACH to do as they attempt to maintain their position.
They visit Hinckley out of the relegation zone on points difference only with two games of the season remaining.
And with third-from-bottom Newport away at already relegated Syston, a big display is required from Sandbach.
STOKE’S Midlands One West campaign is drifting towards its conclusion with little to play for.
However, they can earn the bragging rights from their trip to Staffordshire rivals Burton this weekend.
IN Midlands Two West North, CREWE AND NANTWICH can take a giant leap towards the play-off place if they can beat Old Saltleians.
And with Leek hosting Moseley Oak, the Cheshire side could be looking to secure a second successive promotion.
ECCLESHALL entertain UTTOXETER in Midlands Three West North, while TRENTHAM maintain their title push in South Lancs/Cheshire Three.
