Shock as Bath Rugby only allocated around 1000 tickets for Amlin Cup final

Bath Rugby fans have reacted with shock and anger after it was revealed the club has only been allocated around 1,000 tickets for the Amlin Cup final.

Supporters of both Bath and Northampton Saints have said they are shocked and called for the game to be moved to the Millennium Stadium.

Bath Rugby season tickets holders and members will have priority for tickets to next month’s final.

Bath recorded a 24-18 victory over Wasps in the last four on Sunday to set up a final against Northampton Saints at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday, May 23.

Both finalists will receive the same tickets allocation, believed to be in the region of 1,000, for the game.

Numbers are limited at the 12,000 capacity stadium as tickets have been on sale from the ERC since last September.

Tickets will be priced at £45, £40 and £25 and can be purchased from the club as soon as they are available.

A statement on Bath’s website yesterday said: “Season ticket holders and members will have a priority booking period of two days (maximum two tickets per person) and after this any remaining tickets will go on general sale.

“Tickets will go on sale as soon as the club receives them from the ERC – at present we do not have a confirmed arrival date for these.”
