Rugby players and fans have been showing their support for Swalec Finals Day by tweeting what they think makes Welsh grassroots rugby so special.

International players such as Sam Warburton, who played for Rhiwbina, Taulupe Faletau – Cross Keys – and Gethin Jenkins, for Pontypridd, all began their rugby careers for local teams, just proving the calibre of talent throughout Wales.

Returning to the Millennium Stadium on Sunday 4 May, the Swalec Finals start at 12.30pm. The first match of the day sees local side Clwb Rygbi Cymru Caerdydd taking on Llantwit Major for the Bowl. Merthyr will take on Rhiwbina next, for the Plate, before the defending Cup champions, Pontypridd, take on the 2012 winners Cross Keys.
