Bath Rugby quartet go head-to-head in Rugby Championship first round

Four members of Bath Rugby’s squad will go head-to-head in the opening round of the Rugby Championship on Saturday.

South African flanker Francois Louw, who last week penned a new long-term contract at The Rec, will start for the Springboks when they take on an Argentina side featuring hooker Eusebio Guinazu in Johannesburg (3pm).

Fellow Bath stars Horacio Agulla and Juan Pablo Orlandi have also been named on the bench by the Pumas for the clash at FNB Stadium.

The quartet’s selection for the competition means they will miss the end of Bath’s pre-season programme, including Saturday’s friendly at The Rec against local rivals Bristol, as well as the first block of Aviva Premiership fixtures in September.
