Bath Rugby will be boosted by the return of three key men when they take on West Country rivals Gloucester at The Rec tomorrow night (7.45pm).

Hooker Rob Webber, former Cherry and Whites lock Dave Attwood and full-back Anthony Watson will all make their first appearances since the end of September for the home side.

Webber is joined in the front row by Paul James and Anthony Perenise, with the latter shifting back to the tighthead. Attwood partners captain Stuart Hooper in the engine room, while Matt Garvey and Francois Louw are also back in the starting line-up on the blind and openside flanks. Carl Fearns continues at the base of the scrum.

George Ford lines up at number ten and has experienced scrum-half Peter Stringer alongside him.

Matt Banahan moves to the left wing, with Semesa Rokoduguni on the right and England duo Kyle Eastmond and Jonathan Joseph pairing up in midfield.

Former Bath schoolboy Freddie Burns and Matt Kvesic were, like Eastmond and Attwood, released from England’s training camp on Wednesday and are named at fly-half and openside flanker respectively for the visitors.

Wing James Simpson-Daniel will make his 183rd Premiership appearance for Gloucester, overtaking the club record set by Peter Buxton in the process.

Tom Savage returns to skipper a much-changed side from the one that lost 26-10 to Munster in the Heineken Cup last weekend.

Only six players are retained in the starting line up – the front row of Dan Murphy, Darren Dawidiuk and Rupert Harden as well as Jonny May, Ryan Mills and former Bath centre Mike Tindall in the backs.

Just a handful of tickets remain for tomorrow night’s encounter, which is being broadcast free by BT Sport on BT TV, Freeview, Sky and Virgin TV.
