BBC Points West spend time with the Cook Islands rugby league team, who are currently based in Bristol for their World Cup 2013 campaign.
The players will remain in the West Country during the competition and have been introducing their own traditions – in music and sport – to the region.
They play their opening Group D game against USA on Wednesday, 30 October at Bristol Rovers’ Memorial Stadium.
