The French club booted out the Wales scrum-half after he arrived drunk at a video analysis session three weeks ago.
Phillips, who joined Bayonne from Ospreys in 2011, had eight months of his three-year contract left to run but was fuming after learning he had been axed in French newspapers.
The 31-year-old has been capped 77 times by Wales and starred in the Lions’ victorious tour of Australia this summer.
