London Welsh 5, London Scottish 13

LONDON Welsh slipped to a first home defeat of the Greene King IPA Championship season as they lacked the ideas to break down stubborn opponents.

The hosts had some bad luck and saw two tries ruled out by the video referee, but London Scottish deserved victory for their defence alone.

Welsh still top the table, but will be mightily disappointed by this poor display in windy conditions.

Miles Mantella scored a late interception try to seal it for Scottish, with Lee Millar converting.

Millar and Dan Newton also slotted penalties for the visitors, while Alan Awcock went over on the final whistle for Welsh.
