Gahan Meats are to sponsor Leinster and Ryan Stoves will sponsor Munster for both teams’ Heineken Cup Games on the weekend of January 17.
The companies were winners of a Bank of Ireland âSponsor for a Day’ competition in association with Independent News Media.
Dublin-based Gahan Meats won a sponsorship package for the Leinster v Ospreys game at the RDS on January 17, while Tipperary’s Ryan Stoves will be on display at Munster v Edinburgh at Thomond Park on the following Sunday.
The winners will receive a prize which includes the company logo on the Leinster and Munster players’ jerseys, pitch signage, corporate hospitality for 10 guests, a match programme advert, photographs with the team and profiling support from Bank of Ireland, Munster Leinster Rugby and INM.Â
Leinster winners Gahan Meats, a third-generation family business, is run by Declan, Veronica, Nigel and James Gahan.
Gahan supplies quality meats to a number of the hotels and caterers and won the best supplier award at the National Procurement Awards 2011. They also own two retail outlets â a factory shop off the North Road in Finglas and a butcher shop on Collins Avenue in Killester.
Nigel Gahan said: âIt is a true honour to have our family business associated with such a successful team as Leinster rugby.â
Munster winners Ryan Stoves are based in Tippe-rary and in Limerickâs Parkway Shopping Centre.
It is also a family business, supplying stoves at affordable prices with expert installation. Ryans won the Charnwood Stoves dealer of the year award for the last 10 years.
Managing director Larry Ryan said: âAs a proud supporter and an ex-rugby player I often dreamed of playing in a Munster jersey. This is a perfect outlet to help us build awareness for our company.â
