Brad Barritt back to boost Sarries and England

The centre, above, came through half-an-hour off the bench intact in Saracens’ 26-8 win at Worcester on Saturday and is now in line to be promoted to the starting line-up after completing his recovery from an ankle problem.

“To have Brad back was a highlight and he should get 80 minutes against Gloucester next weekend,” said Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall.

It was a routine win for the leaders, with the bonus point secured by half-time through tries by David Strettle, Alex Goode, Schalk Brits and Charlie Hodgson.

Northampton remain hot on their heels after running in six tries in a 43-25 victory over Bath at Franklin’s Gardens.

Second-row Christian Day touched down twice for Saints, who came back from a 13-0 early deficit to prove their title credentials and end Bath’s 11-match unbeaten run.
