Wales and British Lions captain Sam Warburton added an Honorary Fellowship to his list of accolades.
Sam was presented with the award at the University of South Wales in recognition of his outstanding contribution to rugby.
He said he was ‘delighted’ with the honour.
He said: âThis is one of the proudest moment of my career, and something that I never thought I would achieve.
âI have a strong association with the university, having trained on its rugby pitches many times with the Cardiff Blues.
âThe University has a great reputation for sport, with fantastic facilities and highly skilled staff.
âIâm living proof that you get out of life what you put in, and that the sacrifices you make along the way do pay off and bring rewards which make it all worthwhile.â
He became the youngest Lions captain after being chosen for the tour to Australia in 2013.
