Healy will appear at a disciplinary hearing as soon as the Lions arrive in Brisbane today for their next game against Queensland on Saturday.
Healyâs tour may, in any case, be as good as over after an ankle injury which, though it turned out to be less serious than at first feared, is bad enough for Alex Corbisiero already to have been called up from the England tour of Argentina.
Initially, this is only as cover but, by the time Corbisiero reaches Australia, the management hope while they are still in Brisbane, Healyâs fate looks as if it will have been sealed one way or another.
Referee Glen Jackson had stopped the match at Subiaco Oval for the TV official to look at the Healy-Sheehan incident after Sheehan had complained. No incriminating footage was found then, but citing officer Freek Burger acted after receiving a statement from Sheehan.
Lions coach Warren Gatland said: âWe need to get Alex over here as soon as possible and I am thankful to Stuart Lancaster for letting him go so quickly.â
Corbisiero said: âI am going there to be first choice and to put my hand up. Itâs going to be a big challenge. Just to go out there is amazing, but I want to get in the Test team.”
