Salford"s Brian Noble to swoop for Wakefield"s Danny Kirmond

Second-rower Kirmond has had an outstanding season and recently agreed a new deal keeping him at Belle Vue until the end of 2016.

But Salford’s multi-millionaire owner Dr Marwan Koukash is willing to splash the cash to sign the 27-year-old and could do likewise with Sammut. The maverick playmaker has fallen out of favour with Bulls coach Francis Cummins and was axed from the starting line-up for Sunday’s home defeat to Catalans Dragons.

Anthony Gelling has agreed to stay at Wigan until the end of 2014.
