The Lions beat Australia 2-1 in the mesmeric series this summer with Jones captain in the third and decisive clash in Sydney.
But in Wales colours the second row has only ever beaten Australia once, way back in 2008, and has never overturned South Africa.
Both of those sides will be visiting Wales this autumn and the Ospreys lock has called on his side, who have won the last two RBS 6 Nations titles, to hit their straps against the worldâs best.
âItâs something I would like to change on my CV,â the 27-year-old Jones told Wales Online.
âThatâs the thing, weâre always there or thereabouts. Weâve achieved quite a bit against Northern hemisphere sides, but thereâs still questions over our competitiveness against the Sanzar nations.
âWe all know that and weâve got to answer those questions.
âYou look at last autumn and we were probably disappointed but you look at the last few years of international rugby, a few Grand Slams and championships, if you were a neutral looking at Wales from afar, youâd definitely think they could make a fist of it.
âIt should be good autumn series. I want to get a run in the black (Ospreys) jersey first. Form and fitness is going to be key for me. I want to be ready and able to do a job, if selected.â
