Xavier Andre replaces the injured Jaryd Robinson for Henley
CHINNOR have signed Northampton Saints Academy scrum half Lewis Hall on loan ahead of tomorrowâs trip to Dings Crusaders in National 2 South.
Head coach Matt Goode used his contacts at Northampton, where he works, to bring Hall down to Kingsey Road.
âWe may have him for the rest of the year, but weâll see how he fits into the club,â said Goode.
âHe will give us some different options.â
Centre Sam Stoop could make his first appearance of the season after being added to the squad, but full back George Blewitt is out with ankle ligament damage.
Dings are notoriously tough to beat on home turf and Goode is expecting a tough battle.
âI have got a feeling it is going to be a similar game to the one against Bournemouth at the weekend, which was quite scrappy and abraisive,â said Goode.
âThey like to slow the ball down whereas we quite like an expansive game.
âWe have put things in place to deal with that.â
Henley Hawksâ wing Jaryd Robinson is set for a long spell out after fracturing his tibia at Loughborough Students last week.
Xavier Andre replaces Robinson, who needs a second operation on his leg, in the side for tomorrowâs home game against Esher in National 1.
Robinson tweeted: âJust been told op wasnât a success and have to go under the knife again on Monday. Rather have it done properly! #xmasRehabâ
Better news for Hawks is the return of fly half James Comben, who was unavailable last week.
Combenâs inclusion means Tom Allen reverts to outside centre and captain Martin Nutt to full back instead of Neil Baggett, who was also injured against Loughborough.
Prop Ruairi Mcleod, who has signed from Ealing Trailfinders, should make his debut off the bench, where Ed Yarnton, who can play at full back or fly half, also comes in.
The clubsâ second teams, Henley Bulls and Esher Cardinals, also clash at Dry Leas in Zoo Sports Shield Division 1.
