BEVERLEY ran out 32-14 winners over Fenners in a highly-charged game which saw two players from each side sent off. Fenners took an 8-6 half-time lead, but Beverley went 12-8 ahead ten minutes into the second half. On the hour, Fenners regained a slender two point advantage.
But after the fracas broke out, the Beverley players stepped up.
Steve Connolly (2), Ben Calvert, Gav Proctor, Lee Stevens, Billy Riby and Ryan Watkin all crashed over for the home side.
Keiron Lehman, Lee Harris and Jake Smalley touched down for Fenners.
NORLAND Academy won a nail-biter at Bilton Sully’s by 26-22 in a reverse fixture due to Norland’s flooded Hessle Foreshore pitch.
The visitors took a slim 14-12 half-time advantage.
Bilton prop Rich Jeffrey didn’t deserve to be on the losing side after he scored a hat-trick, with Dave Crawforth also touching down.
Norland’s John Normanton, Masimba Matonga, Josh Usher and George Lawler scored with Lawler kicking five goals.
HULL Isberg took the spoils in controversial fashion over Lambwath Lions by 34-28, with Lions’ James Landon seeing red on the whistle after complaining about a disallowed try.
Isberg went 18-0 up, but Lambwath levelled at the break.
The second half was end-to-end, but Isberg won by just a single converted try.
Isberg’s Adam Clark, Tom Dixon, Jordan Larvin, Chris Turner, Chris Heil, Lewis Jamison all scored, with Lambwath’s Joe Lowthorpe and Tim Heil scoring two each.
THREE Tuns ran riot against a weakened Haworth Park, winning 44-14. The hosts scored 20 unanswered points after the break, with Matty Taylor, Carl Fox, Dale Ellerby, Lee Welburn, Chris Hathaway, James Sizer, Sam Turner and Liam Crooks all getting on the score-sheet.
