Declan Whooley is joined by Tony Ward and Ruaidhri o’Connor to preview the crunch clash in Paris while also looking back on a memorable day for Brian O’Driscoll the last time out against the Italians.

“We have nothing to fear against the French, which marks a huge psychological change,” Tony said today, adding that Ireland’s form and French inconsistency could pave the way for a famous Irish victory.

Despite the optimism, Ruaidhri is cautious due to the unpredictable nature of Philippe Saint-Andre’s men.

“The French defy logic,” he said.

“They shouldn’t be in the position they are in, but somehow they are,” he added, before tentatively backing Joe Schmidt’s men to land their first piece of silverware since 2009.
