Ulster’s injury list has grown as Iain Henderson has been ruled out for six weeks after confirmation of hamstring strain.
The injury to the back row star comes soon after Rory Best‘s hand injury sustained against New Zealand on Sunday
Best underwent successful surgery this morning to stabilise the fracture that he sustained in the game. He is expected to return to rugby in mid to late January.
Iain Henderson had an MRI Scan yesterday on the hamstring injury that he suffered in Ulster’s win over Edinburgh
The scan confirmed that he has a hamstring tear and that he will be out of rugby for up to six weeks.
Lewis Stevenson sustained medial ligament damage in his right knee against Edinburgh. He will be out for up to six weeks. Michael Allen was concussed in the Edinburgh game and will now follow the normal return-to-play protocols.
Ian Porter irritated his AC joint ahead of the Edinburgh game and is expected to be unavailable for two weeks. Nick Williams suffered a calf injury ahead of the match against Edinburgh. He will be out for between four and six weeks.
