The Highlanders have named their team to play the Lions in Dunedin at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday without Lima Sopoaga who has been ruled out for three weeks.

Sopoaga has been ruled out of this round 13 clash with an ankle sprain and is anticipated to be sidelined until round 15.

In Sopoaga’s place Hayden Parker will make his first start of the 2014 in the first five position.

Lions head coach Johan Ackermann named Marnitz Boshoff in the starting team to play the Highlanders in Dunedin on Saturday.

Boshoff was named on the replacements bench last week with Elton Jantjies starting at flyhalf. This week Jantjies drops to the bench.

Also in the Lions back-line Anthony Volmink comes into the starting XV at left wing.

In the forwards there has been just one change which sees MB Lusaseni start at lock.

On the bench, Corne Fourie has been called up to provide prop cover, while Rudi Mathee and Warwick Teckenburg are also new inclusions.

Otago will be desperate to get back in the winners’ circle after going down to the Stormers by a single point last week, which snapped their three-game winning streak.

After a strong start to the season the Lions now sit third in the South African conference, with their form on the slide badly in the past month, losing all four games by margins of 21, 13, 15 and 30 points last weekend against the Chiefs.
