Donegal Changes
Rory Gallagher and Maxi Curran have decided not to continue as members of the Donegal backroom team for the 2014 season.
Both are believed to have cited family and work commitments as their reasons.
Neither was unable to commit to another campaign with the 2012 All-Ireland champions according to reports, and are understood to have cited family and work commitments for their decisions.
Gallagher served as McGuinnessâs assistant manager, while Curran was a selector as well as being in charge of video analysis. He also took charge of Donegal for this yearâs McKenna Cup campaign.
Kit man Francie Friel is also believed to have left his role with the countyâs footballers.
Donegal manager Jim McGuinness confirmed on Saturday that he will remain in charge for a fourth season.
After winning the Ulster title in 2011, McGuinness led Donegal to provincial and All-Ireland titles last season.
However, this season was disappointing as the team suffered relegation to Division 2, defeat in the Ulster Final, and a failure to defend their title as they were knocked out of the championship by Mayo in the Quarter-Finals.
Lord Mayor support
Dublin Lord Mayor OisÃn Quinn has said he hopes that Dublin will have the edge on Sunday for the All-Ireland Senior Final against Mayo. He will be taking his sons to the big event as they are âmad keen to goâ.
Tickets
It has been reported that pairs of tickets for the All-Ireland Senior Football final are being sold for over â¬5,000 online â more than 60 times their cover price.
Broadcaster and proud Dub, Ryan Tubridy is going to the match with Mayo woman AoibhÃnn NÃ Shuilleabhain.
âWeâre sitting beside each other for starters, but after that I donât know if weâll go home together,â he said.
RUGBY
Joe Schmidt has named an extended squad of 42 players for a brief training camp at Carton House this weekend.
The new Ireland coach appointed as Kidneyâs successor in April, said the event is an opportunity to âget to know the players as well as an opportunity to have a look ahead and start to get a little bit of organisation doneâ.
The two-day get-together will be the beginning of preparations for the games against Samoa, Australia and New Zealand in November.
âA number of selections were very tight which is positive. The group is predominantly âtried and provenâ but with some newer faces as well. Itâs an opportunity to get to know the players as well as an opportunity to have a look ahead and start to get a little bit of organisation done for the Guinness Series.â

GOLF
Both Graeme McDowell and Rory McIlroy have failed to make it through to the FedEx playoffs on the US Tour.
McDowell, carded a four-over-par 75 in his rain-delayed final round of the BMW Championship in Illinois on Monday and finished on six over par overall.
Co Downâs McIlroy shot a second successive three-under-par round of 68 on Sunday, but still finished on seven over par for the tournament after opening rounds of 78 and 77.
McIlroy needed a top-eight finish this week to get to the Tour Championship in Atlanta. Last year, he not only topped the FedEx points list, but also the European Tour Race to Dubai, a very rare feat.
