Sheffield Tigers boss Dan Richmond was frustrated after his side created an avalanche of scoring opportunities at Sedgley Park yet finished empty-handed.
Park ran in four tries to put the game beyond doubt after an hour, winning 29-17.
Peter Swatkins had touched down for Sheffield Tigers in the first half, while the visitors scored twice in the last 10 minutes â a penalty try and Felix Pearson effort. âWeâre disappointed because we created some good chancesâ said Richmond.
âIt was just the final passing. The frustration is theyâre creating opportunities and theyâre just not finishing at the moment. We are striving to improve; they want more from one another. Although we experienced defeat again, weâre moving in the right direction. We were pleased with the energy in the last quarter of the game. Towards the end we were coming back into it. The challenges are that we have to start with that energy as well as the accuracy required and that allows us to put more pressure on teams.â
Richmond added: âThe boys are hurting, weâre all disappointed but itâs different rugby to what theyâre used to. Itâs about moving forward, and everyone has to be patient. The boys are working really hard to put together a solid performance.â
âAlthough the results havenât gone our way weâve had three good games against three very good oppositions.
âItâs been a great measure for us as a squad to find out where weâre at. We are asking questions of these top teams, the likes of Sedgley who will be at the top by the end of the season.
âFor us itâs about taking the positive from those and how we can put pressure on the opposition.
âAlthough thereâs frustration at losing the game thereâs lots of positives that come out of the game, work hard as a group and put our best into our training.â
