Zimbabwe-born Moses Mazomba, 24, who plays for Cartha Queen’s Park RFC after moving to Glasgow in 2009, was aboard the flight from London to Harare at 9pm on Thursday night after losing his fight to remain in the UK.

Supporters who are trying to help him remain in the UK revealed yesterday he had not in fact left the country, and instead became disruptive and after several minutes of struggle was ordered off by the pilot. He is now housed in Colnbrook detention centre, Middlesex.
