Ian Gough: Has signed a short-term deal with London Irish
London Irish have bolstered their pack with the signing of former Wales international lock Ian Gough.
The 36-year-old, who won 64 caps during an 11-year international career, left the Ospreys earlier this month and has signed a short-term deal with the Exiles.
Gough has spent the last six seasons at the Ospreys, making 119 appearances, and will provide second-row cover for Irish, who have injury concerns over George Skivington and Kieran Low.
“It’s great to have a player of the stature and experience of Ian on board,” said Irish rugby director Brian Smith.
“He is a proven Test forward and has been exceptional at the set-piece and the breakdown area throughout his career.
“His presence and influence around the training ground will be massive.”
