NOTTINGHAM Outlaws travel to Bristol Sonics tomorrow hoping to make it three league victories from the opening three rounds of the National Conference League South.
The Outlaws currently share the league leaders spot with last season’s champions Sheffield Hallam Eagles, but they will have to be at their best to maintain their momentum against a Bristol team that are always a tough proposition on their home soil.
The Outlaws go into the game in good form and in the knowledge they won twice on the road against their west country rivals last season, including a fine semi-final win in the play-offs and it is odds on again that the two will meet once again at some point in this year’s eliminators.
However, the end of season premiership is currently a long way off and two precious league points remain the number priority for the Outlaws coaching staff.
With this in mind coaching director Joe Shepherd has once again rung the changes to the team that won so convincingly two weeks ago against South Wales.
Enforced changes in the pack sees Andy Jackson (pictured) missing with injured ribs so powerful centre Chris Prime moves up into the second row and he is joined in the engine room by Jason Corbett, who returns after missing the Welsh game with a sprung shoulder.
Chris Prime’s elevation to forward duties opens the way for Matt Rowland to return to first team duty on the wing after two cracking games in the Academy, while the minor reshuffle also sees Patrick Crummay brought onto the bench for his first team debut.
Squad: 1. Adam Cunliffe 2. Matt Rowland 3. Jonny Shields 4. Jimmy Goodwin 5. Sam Campbell 6. Oliver Crick 7. Alex Whittle 8. Sam Andrews 9. Dan Smith 10. George Strachan 11. Chris Prime 12. Jason Corbett 13. Reece Needham 14. William Ephraim 15. Simon Morton 16. Jon Hemingway 17. Patrick Crummay
