Philippa Tuttiett remains upbeat despite Walesâ opening 26-0 World Cup defeat against hosts France.
The Dragons were 19-0 down at half-time but the centre insists the scoreline did not do justice to the effort the side displayed in front of a partisan crowd.
And Tuttiett insists her side, who finished fifth in this yearâs Six Nations, can take plenty of positives from their opener.
âThe result doesnât sum it up but, equally, weâre going to take a lot of positives from that game and move forward,â she said.
âThe performance was there and the girls are really feeling quite positive.
âWe know the silly errors we made, we are going to work on them now.
âDefence was something weâve really been working on.
âWeâve got a few systems in place that weâve been going over and you can see how much of a team weâve become. We are really working for one another.â
Wales face Australia on Tuesday before their final pool stage game â a tough clash against South Africa. But Tuttiett says Wales are determined to give it their all adding: âWe are going to go into Australia all guns blazing and we are looking for two more wins.
âWeâre here at the World Cup. Weâre here to play the highest standard of rugby we can and weâre going to have the highest standard played against us.
âWe are going to be going for them (Australia and South Africa). I think we can achieve anything.â
The WRU is to appoint a National Womenâs rugby manager to spearhead the development of all levels of womenâs and girlsâ rugby, up to and including the national team.
The new role, which is advertised on the WRU website, is a clear indication of the importance the WRU places on equality of opportunity, as it aims to increase standards and participation levels.
