Who is your sporting hero?
Rugby wise, definitely Jason Robinson. I watched him as a kid as there was always a buzz around him. I also loved watching Steven Gerrard for Liverpool.
What would you be if you werenât a sportsman?
Not a lot, to be honest! I would have liked to have been in sport somewhere, but I probably would have gone to university and then tried to decide from there.
Career highlight?
Hopefully being a Commonwealth athlete! Other than that, making the rugby sevens World Cup final last year was special, as was winning the Wellington sevens.
Career highlight? Marcus Watson says it would be being ‘a Commonwealth athlete’ and was in Glasgow this week
…and the worst moment?
A shin injury I had around two years ago, and trying to play through it for six months. I wondered in my head: âWhatâs wrong?â and that affected me.
If your house was burning down, what one possession would you save?
Iâm not going to leave my phone in there so itâs going to have to be that. I donât know what Iâd do without it!
Favourite song?
I quite like Ed Sheeran at the moment but of all time thereâs two: Will Smithâs Gettinâ Jiggy With It and Cold Desert by Kings of Leon.
Gettin’ Jiggy With It: Will Smith would be one of England Sevens star Watson’s top two songs of all time
TV programme you canât miss?
When I was younger, it would have been Kenan Kel and My Wife and Kids. Even now it would be those two if they were still on! At the moment Iâm watching Dexter, and thatâs pretty good.
Last film you saw?
I watched Men of Honor recently, which is probably my favourite film, and I canât wait to see the new Planet of the Apes.
Which three famous guests would you invite to a dinner party?
Pharrell Williams, Mike Tyson and David Beckham. Pharrell is cool and heâd provide a good soundtrack. Iâve watched so many documentaries on Tyson and still donât understand how his head works. And Beckham would definitely get you invited to quite a few cool parties. Heâs a guy who no one dislikes.
Model professional: Watson would invite David Beckham, who ‘no one dislikes’, to a dinner party if he could
Can you cook? Best dish?
Iâve just started to cook but I wouldnât say Iâm anywhere near a master chef yet! Though I made a good Thai curry the other day.
Favourite holiday destination?
Once Iâve seen somewhere, I like to go somewhere else instead of going back. But I went to Thailand last summer and that was a very cool trip. After the Commonwealths Iâm going to Egypt.
In a film of your life, who would you like to play you?
Either Jamie Foxx or Will Smith to play me, though Iâd have to find someone uglier to play my brother (England rugby union international, Anthony). I wouldnât mind doing the stunts though!
Tell us a secret…
I loved football when I was young and I had a book of the top 15 players in the world. I knew all of the playersâ birthdays. I guess thatâs quite embarrassing but I used to be a crazy football fan.
Back in the day: Rugby star Watson would get Jamie Foxx to play him in a film of his life
