THREE of Englandâs Rugby League World Cup stars dropped in to a Loughborough opticians last week to help with the storeâs fund-raising efforts.
Tom Briscoe, Leroy Cudjoe and James Roby visited Specsavers on Market Street on Tuesday, November 19.
All
three are part of the England Rugby League team that agonisingly lost to New Zealand with the last play of the game in Saturdayâs World Cup semi-final at Wembley.
During
a break in training at Loughborough University, the three players popped into the store for photos and to donate a signed team shirt and two rugby balls that the store will raffle off to raise money for Rainbows Childrenâs Hospice.
Nadine
Burton, store manager at Specsavers in Loughborough, says: âWeâre delighted that Tom, Leroy and James could spare some time out of training to come and say hello.
âThe signed shirt and balls are a great addition to our raffle raising money for Rainbows.â
