But he was back on form during Thursday’s 18-18 draw with the Wildcats. McDermott said: “I can’t speak highly enough of how Zak has applied himself. He has a fair amount of leadership qualities and they have really come out in the last few weeks. It wasn’t just a symbolic gesture by me to make him captain, he was the obvious choice.â€
