Munster captain Peter OâMahony and Dave Foley both returned to full training this week ahead of the visit of Heineken Cup pool opponents Perpignan to Thomond Park on Sunday.
OâMahony (dead leg) and Foley (hamstring) are expected to be joined on the paddock by James Coughlan tomorrow after his recovery from an eye injury, while there was positive news today regarding Ireland lock Donnacha Ryan (knee ligaments) and flanker Tommy OâDonnell (knee hyper-extension).
Both are ahead of schedule in their recoveries and will take place in âlimited trainingâ this Friday.
Hooker Mike Sherry underwent a scan on the ACL in his left knee on Monday and will see a specialist on Thursday to assess the damage further, while Gerhard van den Heever will have his broken hand examined more closely on the same day.
Backrower Paddy Butler has had the cast removed from his fractured right thumb and is âprogressing wellâ, with a view to taking some part in training next week.
