Leicester Tigers versus Montpellier is set provide some massive hits, regardless of the score, as the teams get ready for their important clash at Welford Road this Sunday.
England hooker Tom Youngs tipped the game to be a battle of the set-pieces, saying the forwards will determine who walks away with the vital points in their inter-pool clash.
“It is going to be a huge battle at the set-piece,†said Youngs. “If we are really accurate at the breakdown, too, that would be good. It is just a case of being clinical there and winning those little battles.â€
That manner of performance would go a long way towards securing victory for Tigers in the first of critical back-to-back games against the French outfit and there is no reason why Tigers should not do that.
It was huge for us to win,†said 26-year-old Youngs. “The game might not have been the best and we didn’t play to the best of our ability but it was a great win for us.
“We took a lot of momentum out of that game. Gloucester are a very good side and we had to dig deep. It could have gone either way so everybody was really pleased after the game.â€
“You go into a different league with the Heineken Cup,†Youngs said. “It is fantastic. We know as a pack that Montpellier will come with some big forwards. That is a challenge which we look forward to. It is going to be one hell of a battle.â€
