UR7s and Kenya Rugby Union announce media partnership in coverage of ...


Leading rugby sevens website, ur7s.com have entered into a partnership with the Kenya Rugby Union to cover the Safaricom Sevens Series, the Kenya Sevens Championship played over six weeks in four Kenyan cities and towns.


Under the partnership, UR7s (Ultimate Rugby Sevens) will cover all angles of the Safaricom Sevens Series, offering pre and post tournament reviews, interviews as well as related to the championship as it seeks to showcase the Kenyan domestic championship to a global audience.


 


 


 


 


 


About the Safaricom Sevens Series


The Safaricom Sevens Series is played between August 3rd and September 22nd across 6 tournaments taking in 4 cities across Kenya. Featuring many of the successful Kenya 7s squad, giving fans the chance to see stars suh as Collins Injera and Andrew Amonde in action. The series climaxes at the Safaricom Sevens in September in Nairobi where in the past the numbers of spectators have exceeded 250000. The Series is sponsored by Safaricom, a huge supporter of rugby and sport in Kenya.


First played in 1999. This is the Kenyan national sevens championships featuring five tournaments played in Nairobi,Nakuru,Mombasa and Kisumu and has over the years unearthed talent that has gone on to feature for Kenya. Players such as Dennis Ombachi,Humphrey Kayange, Collins Injera have all emerged from here

Christie Sevens, Nairobi 7th/8th September(RFUEA)

Safaricom Sevens Nairobi, 20/21/22 September (Kasarani)
