GARETH WIDDOP is still hoping to make England’s Rugby League World Cup squad —

despite having a dislocated hip.

The Melbourne Storm star’s chances looked doomed when he suffered the injury

in Monday’s defeat at Gold Coast Titans.

Club coach Craig Bellamy ruled Widdop out for the rest of the year.

But the half-back, 24, refuses to rule out being fit for the World Cup in

October, tweeting: “Still a chance.

“Be doing everything to get it right!”

  • England need a new No 2 after James Lowes crossed codes from Leeds Rhinos’

assistant to take charge of Leeds Carnegie.

SALFORD have landed their first signing of new owner Marwan Koukash revolution

    after taking Melbourne’s Junior Sa’u, 26, on a two-year deal.

They also hope to sign Hull KR’s Michael Dobson, 27.
