Rhys Webb: Doubt for Scotland game
Wales have not given up hope of scrum-half Rhys Webb and lock Luke Charteris facing Scotland this weekend, delaying their team announcement to Thursday.
Webb withdrew in the second half against England on Sunday, while Charteris was a late dropout from the starting XV due to a neck injury.
Both players though have not been ruled out for Saturday’s game in Cardiff, despite concern over Webb’s ankle.
Even if Webb was passed fit, his place is under threat from British and Irish Lions number nine Mike Phillips.
Webb impressed on his first start against France but struggled against England, with Phillips along with Dan Biggar and Paul James all making an impact from the bench.
All three of those players could start against Scotland – who have only won one of their four matches – with Rhys Priestland struggling at Twickenham and Gethin Jenkin being sin-binned for his scrummaging technique by referee Romain Poite.
