GLOUCESTER rugby stars Mike Tindall and Charlie Sharples have been flexing their muscles at a gym in Stroud.

The England duo joined Fifth Dimension Health and Fitness Club in Ebley last month and train there a few times a week.

Fitness trainer Dave Marsh, who recently put the pair through a tough weight training session, said: “Training with Sharples and Tindall was like training with a cheetah and a bull with their brute speed and power.

“I was really nervous to begin with as I am a big rugby fan so I was training with two of my idols.

“But after settling in and realising what great down-to-earth gentlemen they both were I was fine.”

Fifth Dimension is a local gym for the duo as Tindall lives with his wife Zara Phillips in Minchinhampton and Sharples lives nearby.

After their first session, Tindall said on Twitter: “Good session with @CharlieSharples at @gymfifth great place if anyone in Stroud area needs a place to train.”
