Prince Harry has joined the campaign to support the England Womenâs Rugby team as they had to Paris for the Womenâs Rugby World Cup in August.
The 29-year old royal, who is Vice Patron of the Rugby Football Union, delighted the team with a recorded message for fans, as part of the campaign launched by England Rugby Menâs captain Chris Robshaw.

“Today Iâm calling on you to get behind the team,” he said. “While we canât all be there at the tournament to cheer them on in person, we want to send as many good luck messages as we can to let them know weâre right behind them. Come on England!”
England Womenâs Captain, Katy Mclean, revealed that Prince Harryâs support gave the team a boost of confidence.
“It is incredible to know that Prince Harry will be backing us as we head into the Rugby World Cup,” she admitted. “Itâs given all the girls in the squad a massive lift and we hope it will encourage lots more people to take an interest in womenâs rugby and follow our progress in Paris.”

Prince Harry wrapped up his royal tour of Brazil and Chile over the weekend, stopping by the Fundacion Amigos de Jesus centre. While there he proved quite a hit with youngsters as her took to the stage for an impromptu dancing performance.
The playful royal had previously visited Brazil, where he attended the England World Cup game against Costa Rica, and then spent a few days in Chile.
