DEBUTANT George Postlethwaite scored two tries as Oxford University battle back to beat the Royal Navy 22-14 in Portsmouth.

The second-half replacement helped Oxford recover from 14-0 down.

Lock Marsh Cormack and hooker Ben Priddy went over for the Navy, who had the strong winds in their favour in the first half, full back Jon Humphrey converting both.

A try from Ed Doe, who moved from centre to full back, kick-started Oxford’s reply, fly half Jacob Taylor converting.

Tries from Postlethwaite (2) and flanker Chris Williams completed the comeback.
