The Lions and Wales scrum-half has one year left on his contract at French side Bayonne and admitted that if he wants to extend his club career he may have to quit playing at Test level.
“If I want to play on at club level, I may have to call time on my international career in the not too distant future,†said Phillips, who is having a scan on his injured knee today.
“It is something I am going to think long and hard about and I’ve got some decisions to make in the next year.
