Supporters worldwide can log on for an exclusive live, online double header from Melrose, starting with Edinburghâs pre-season clash with Leicester Tigers at 2pm this Saturday, August 23.
The game at the Greenyards will be followed by the inaugural Scottish Rugby BT Charity Shield match between league winners, Melrose, and cup winners, Heriotâs, at the same venue, kick-off 5pm.
The next afternoon, weâll have highlights of Glasgow Warriorsâ fixture with Harlequins, which is played at Scotstoun on Saturday.
Leicester Tigers are packed with top name stars, including Lions Manu Tuilagi, Ben Youngs, Dan Cole and Tom Croft.
Edinburgh will also be showcasing some of their arrivals over the summer, including Allan Dell, Nick McLennan, Tom Heathcote, Anton Bressler and Phil Burleigh.
The sides last met in 2008, when Edinburgh defeated the Premiership cracks 17-12 in the Heineken Cup at the BT Murrayfield Stadium.
Scottish Rugby director of commercial operations, communications and public affairs, Dominic McKay, said: âThe new season is about to get underway and itâs tremendous news the Daily Record will once again underline its commitment to rugby in Scotland.
âThe live streaming of the double-header at Melrose this Saturday will be followed by further coverage of the final warm-up match against Newcastle Falcons the following weekend.
âNaturally, the best place to see the action is in person at the Greenyards but, regardless of where supporters are in the world, theyâll be able to catch all the action.
âThe Daily Recordâs live streaming of Scotlandâs summer tour test against the USA was much appreciated by rugby fans and Iâm sure supporters will welcome this latest initiative.â
Dailyrecord.co.uk will also be streaming the Warriorsâ clash against London Scottish live from the Richmond Athletic Ground, from 3pm on Saturday, August 30.
It will be followed by highlights from the previous nightâs Edinburgh v Newcastle Falcons clash.
The Daily Recordâs website will be the only place you can see these matches as Scotlandâs two professional sides gear up for the new season.
Daily Record editor, Murray Foote, said: âWe are delighted to be working with Scottish Rugby to screen these games exclusively at dailyrecord.co.uk.
âOur live streaming of Scotlandâs recent international with the USA was a huge success and this exciting new initiative further strengthens our rugby credentials.â
The Edinburgh Rugby match against the Tigers is the first of 15 home games on the excellent value Edinburgh Rugby season ticket, which includes all of the clubâs home pool games in the European Challenge Cup and 11 Guinness PRO12 matches.
